First meeting for 2025
Social gathering on Tuesday Jan 21st 2025, venue in Yarraville to be confirmed.

Acknowledgement / Australia Day event
Over the last 3 years our club has received significant funding from Australia Day Council to run a community event on January 26th. We had a sunrise Welcome to Country ceremony overlooking the water at Newport, with music and free food and drinks.
The funding was halved in 2024 and was not provided for 2025. We are considering what our club would like to do on the day, potentially a community morning tea at a different venue. This will be discussed at our first get together on 21st.

BBQ Trailer
The usage of our club BBQ trailer is under review.  The trailer is 17 years old and showing its age. It was originally purchased in 2007 with a government grant. The current storage costs for the trailer have also significantly increased to $246pm.

At upcoming club meeting we will discuss alternatives
- We have shelving storage and freezer in Jebadiah's garage for our marquees, portable bbq, Eskys, and BBQ equipment.  Also thanks to Jeb's time and large Ute vehicle, he is able to transport all required BBQ equipment to our events.
- In 2024 had initial discussions and support from Seddon Community Bank about funding for new BBQ / catering van for our club and wider community.  Will restart conversations with Suzanne.

Chrome books
Thanks to the Rotary club of Brunswick Tullamarine, Jebadiah was able to secure 25 Google Chrome books. These devices can be loaded with educational resources and give access to all Google tools and emails.  We are currently assessing how to distribute these devices to bridge the digital divide for community members locally and/or overseas.  Will be discussed in future meeting.

Ideas for community projects
Due our dedicated members willingly volunteering their time, our fundraising this year has built our club bank balance to a healthy position.  If anyone has suggestions for how club can further support the community we will be we willing to discuss any ideas at a club meeting.
